City of Rocks National Reserve, Idaho
Of all the natural wonders that Idaho has to offer, City of Rocks National Reserve might be the oddest. It really does resemble a town constructed of rocks, with massive boulders scattered amid the hills not far from Idaho’s southern border with Utah. Smoky skies from nearby summer wildfires didn’t make my own trip the best for photos, but it’s worth a visit! A recommendation, though: use the park’s eastern entrance outside Almo rather than the western one south of Oakley unless you’re aching for an extremely slow and bumpy dirt road journey. Enjoy!
