Little McCall on the shores of gorgeous Payette Lake is a pretty sight at any time of year, but the spring runoff makes it particularly magical. ย Here are a few favorite shots around the lake from last May, as well as a few others en route. ย Enjoy!
Think Honolulu and you’ll probably think Diamond Head, too. ย This volcanic landmarkย makes for a great landscape viewed from sea level, but if you’re feeling ambitious enough to hike to the summit (along with a couple thousand other tourists!), the view of the city from above is absolutely stunning. ย Here’s a peek from my own journey in February 2013!
Oregon’s spectacular Columbia River Gorge has a huge collection of waterfall-filled hikes, and Eagle Creek provides a beautiful tour of a bunch of them. ย Here’s a collection of some of my favorites! ย If you’re interested in hiking the trail yourself, read up on it here, and be sure to bring a tripod if you’re planning on taking photos – it’s pretty dim light in there!
Boise may technically be high desert, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have our share of watery beauty. ย The gorgeous Boise River and its many outlets run straight through the Treasure Valley, providing tons of opportunities for recreation, wildlife watching, and (of course) photography. ย Here are a few of my favorites of the river in different seasons.
