Though it may not boast majestic mountains like its neighbor Stanley, small-town McCall Idaho draws a decent crowd year round with scenic Payette Lake and quaint shops.  This crowd multiplies drastically for McCall’s annual winter carnival, featuring vendors, live music, and (most importantly) incredible snow sculptures.  Here’s a sampling of the scene from when I attended the carnival last weekend (and, as always, keep an eye out for part II!).
